Panel arithmetic
The cut width fits across usable fabric width without rotation. Pieces per row are rounded down, rows rounded up, then multiplied by cut length. Extra length is optional and user-selected. The tool rejects a panel wider than usable fabric.
Edging arithmetic
All four sides of a rectangle total 2 × (width + length). A user-supplied joining allowance is added, then required rolls are rounded up. This does not calculate corner technique or tape width.
